Renault Triber AMT To Launch In January 2020
We have reported earlier that Renault India will bring in the AMT (automated manual transmission) version of the Triber subcompact MPV. While its official launch details are yet to be confirmed, the Renault Triber AMT is reported to go on sale by the end of January 2020.
The automatic gearbox might be reserved for the top-end trim of the vehicle. In terms of pricing, the Renault Triber AMT will cost around Rs 50,000 premium over its manual counterpart. At present, the compact MPV comes in four trims – RXE, RXL, RXT and RXZ – priced at Rs 4.95 lakh, Rs 5.59 lakh, Rs 6.09 lakh and Rs 6.63 lakh respectively. All prices are ex-showroom.
Based on the modified CMF-A platform, the Renault Triber sources its power from a 1.0L, 3-cylinder Energy petrol engine paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The gasoline motor pushes out a peak power of 71bhp and a peak torque of 96Nm. The Triber offers a spacious and practical interior with 4 seating modes – Camp, Surf, Life and Tribe.
In coming months, the carmaker will also roll out the BS6-compliant version of the Renault Triber. The MPV will also receive a more powerful turbocharged 1.0L Energy engine sometime next year. For more information, stay tuned to IndiaCarNews.
