Skoda India has finally introduced the much-awaited Octavia RS at Rs 24.62 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It’s the most powerful performance sedan from the Czech Republic carmaker in the country. Powerful & Fast – The performance version of the Octavia derives its power from a 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine. This turbo motor will thrill you by delivering a power output of 230bhp against 350Nm of torque. Furthermore, it can achieve 0-100kmph in 6.8 seconds before hitting a top speed of 250kmph. Transmission duties on the car are taken care of by a 6-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
Sportier Design – Visually, the new Octavia RS appears more premium and sportier than the standard model. Upfront has quite aggressive appeal with features such as chrome accented grille with signature RS badging, LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights and LED fog lamps. Other styling highlights include LED rear light clusters, stainless steel tailpipes, specific rear bumper design, tailgate spoiler and rear diffuser with a strip of red reflectors. Loaded Cabin – Interior of this performance sedan is driver oriented laden with lots of advanced comfort and connectivity features. The car has a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Mirror Link. Features such as a multifunctional flat-bottom steering wheel with paddle shifters, ambient lighting, black leather/fabric combination seats with contrast stitching are also on offer.
