Based on the same MO platform, the new Renault Duster gets premium and upmarket cabin

Soon after images of second generation Dacia Duster were released, more images have surfaced online that give an insight into the interior of the SUV. The new Dacia Duster was recently revealed to the France media, ahead of its public debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show and it seems to get vital cosmetic changes over the model it precedes. The new interior images on the other hand reveal, it will receive copious changes inside the cabin. A close look at the leaked images reveals that the new Duster gets a four-spoke, multifunctional steering wheel and a large touchscreen infotainment system. Furthermore, it gets three round-shaped air-con vents in the middle and one at each end of the dashboard. The black finished dashboard on the other hand sports an aluminium trim on the passenger side, while splash of orange can be seen on the central tunnel and door panels.

Apart from these changes, the SUV could come with a host of options for upholstery and other bits for the interior. The images also show a rotary dial, placed next to the gear lever which seems like the control for the all-wheel drive system. While the SUV will first launch in European markets under the Dacia brand, in India, it is expected to break cover by second half of 2018. The engine specs will vary for the European market, while in India it could continue to use the same 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre K9K oil burner from the current model.  Transmission options will include a 5-speed MT and a CVT for petrol engine along with a 6-speed MT and an AMT for the diesel unit.
