The Nissan Kicks Compact SUV that recently made its debut at Rio de Janeiro, is all set to launch in Brazil on August 5, 2016. According to a latest report, the carmaker has started accepting bookings for the vehicle. One can pre-book the car on www.nissankicks.com.br by paying a sum of R$5,000. Prices of the Nissan Kicks are likely to start from R$89,000 (Rs 17.24 lakh) for the base variant, and go all the way up to R$93,500 (Rs 18.12 lakh) for the top model.
In Brazil, Nissan will sell first 1,000 units of the Kicks compact SUV as limited edition. These select units will come with a numbered metal plate representing their respective production number. Nissan will also offer a Sunset Orange visual with the compact SUV that will cost additional R$2,500 (Rs 48,453 approx.).
Talking about the engine, the Nissan Kicks will be powered by a 1.6-litre flex-fuel (petrol/ethanol) engine paired to an X-tronic CVT transmission. Manufactured at Nissan’s Resende-based plant, this powertrain can produce power close to 105bhp – 110bhp. As per reports, the Kicks has achieved Inmetro certification for its fuel efficiency. Running on the ethanol and petrol, the car returns mileage between 8.1kmpl – 9.6kmpl and 11.4kmpl – 13.7kmpl respectively.
As far as features are concerned, the Kicks comes equipped with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with around view monitor, an instrument cluster integrated large color MID and analog speedometer, automatic climate control, a light tan and black color interior theme, flat-bottomed leather-wrapped steering wheel with controls and start/stop button.
Brazil will be the first market to receive the Nissan Kicks compact SUV where it will be launched on 5th August 2016.
