Volkswagen, the German luxury carmaker has unveiled the new VW T-ROC R-Line variant at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. VW’s R-Line packages give a certain aggression to this compact SUV. The T-ROC is scheduled to be launched in European markets by the end of this year. If reports are to be believed, the German carmaker could also launch this crossover in India.
Coming to the R-Line package, the T-ROC’s kit only offers visual changes. On the outside, the SUV gets a sportier rear diffuser, dark red LED taillights and a black lower air intake. The vehicle comes equipped with aggressive bumpers and new door trims. The flared wheel arches have been fitted to new 18- or 19-inch alloy wheels, which are painted on the darker side. Inside the cabin, the R-Line logos can be seen on the doorsill trim, the infotainment’s welcome screen, the R-Line-specific steering wheel and the cloth-and-microfiber front seats. New contrasting stitching on the floor mats, gearshift boot, seats and center armrest is also on offer. It also gets stainless steel pedals with a matching footrest.
For the European markets, the standard T-ROC will come with six different engines – three diesel and three petrol. Front wheel drive will come as standard, while AWD version will be offered on the top-end model. Transmission options will include a six-speed manual and a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
