The Nissan Grand Livina 2019 model will first go on sale in Indonesia, followed by other ASEAN markets including Malaysia.

We informed you earlier that Mitsubishi is considering the Xpander MPV for Indian market. The new crossover-MPV is already on sale in Indonesia and is likely to arrive in India in 2020-21. Interestingly, Nissan will reveal the next-gen Grand Livina crossover-ish MPV which is basically the re-styled Mitsubishi Xpander.

The next-gen Nissan Grand Livina will be produced at the brand’s facility in Bekasi Prefecture, West Java (Indonesia), which also produces the Mitsubishi Xpander. If media report is to be believed, the company has also showcased the MPV to some employees at the facility. The MPV could hit production line soon and launch could take place in early 2019.

The next-gen Nissan Grand Livina will share profile with Xpander, though it will have different front fascia. It will have Nissan’s new signature V-motion grille, boomerang LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs and newly styled bumper. The cabin is also expected to receive several changes to offer a fresh feel. It is likely to receive new steering design, new upholstery for seats and new infotainment system. The 2019 Nissan Grand Livina is expected to share the engine with the Xpander, which is powered by a 4A91 1.5-litre MIVEC engine. This naturally aspirated petrol engine is capable of producing 104bhp of power and 141Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic unit.

The Nissan Grand Livina 2019 model will first go on sale in Indonesia, followed by other ASEAN markets including Malaysia. This crossover-MPV will rival the Toyota Avanza, Honda BR-V and the Suzuki Ertiga. While XPander is being considered for Indian market, the Grand Livina is yet to be confirmed by Nissan. The company could consider this model for India, as the 7-seater cars are gaining popularity among Indian buyers.
