New Generation Jeep Renegade SUV Under Development
The new-generation Jeep Renegade will have bigger boot space to offer.
The American SUV manufacturer, Jeep has started working on the new-generation Renegade SUV that will have its world premiere in 2022. The all-new version of the SUV will use the FCA’s Small Wide 4X4 platform that also underpins several Fiat and Jeep models in South America. Globally, the Jeep Renegade SUV was first introduced in 2014, followed by a facelift in June 2018. The SUV maker will bring in the facelifted version of the SUV in the Indian market. Reports suggest that the premium 5-seater SUV will hit our shores early next year. With Hyundai Creta and Renault Captur in its sight, the new Jeep Renegade 2019 is estimated to be priced between Rs 11 lakh – Rs 16 lakh.

Official engine details of the India-bound Renegade are yet to be announced. Though, it is likely to come with both petrol and diesel fuel option. While the petrol model might get a 1.4L Multi-Air motor, the diesel version could use a 1.6L MJD unit. Transmissions on offer will include a manual and an automatic unit. The SUV is likely to come with AWD (all-wheel-drive) system.
