2 Big November Launches – New Maruti Ertiga & Mahindra Y400
The Mahindra Y400 and new Maruti Ertiga will go on sale on 19th and 21st, November respectively.
November 2018 will witness two big launches of the year – the Mahindra Y400 SUV and the new-generation Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. While the former will see a release on 19th, the latter will go on sale on 21st. Official bookings for both the models will be commenced soon.
The Mahindra Y400 (codename) is a premium 7-seater SUV from the home-grown carmaker. To be positioned against the Toyota Fortuner and the Ford Endeavour, the Y400 is likely to be priced between Rs 25 lakh – Rs 30 lakh. Official name of the vehicle will be announced at its launch on 19th November, 2018. However, the media reports suggest it could be named ‘Mahindra Inferno’.

Just so you know, the new Mahindra 7-seater SUV (Y400) had its public debut at the 2018 Auto Expo. Mahindra says that the new SUV is based on the quad-frame, which is composed of 63% 1.5Gpa-grade high strength steel. Compared to the Toyota Fortuner, the Mahindra Inferno will be longer and wider. Talking about the next-generation Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, the MPV will ditch the existing platform for the new, lightweight HEARTECT architecture. It will also aid to its efficiency and performance. The new Maruti Ertiga 2018 will share the 104bhp, 1.5L petrol engine with the new Ciaz facelift. Though, it will continue to use the tried-and-tested 1.3L diesel motor generating power worth 89bhp. Transmissions on offer will be a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic gearbox.
