Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler maker, that recently launched the new Hero Maestro Edge scooter has now rolled out the updated Hero Splendor Pro in the Indian car market at INR 46,850, ex-showroom, Delhi. The new motorcycle gets electric start, clear lens indicator, new visor, new graphics and fuel tank. The company has already started dispatching the updated bike to dealerships. Adding to it, the company will also launch the new Hero Duet scooter in the country in coming weeks.
Other changes include new instrument cluster with a side stand indicator, body coloured mirrors and new wider grab rail. Powering the 2016 Splendor Pro is the same 97.2cc engine that is good for 8.25bhp of power and 8.05Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to wheels via a four-speed gearbox. The motorcycle is available in four variants and comes with a five-year warranty. Along with the 2016 Hero Splendor Pro, the company has also introduced two new colours for the Splendor iSmart – Black Boon Silver and Black Sports Red.
The new Splendor Pro is available in eight colors- Black Purple, Heavy Grey, Cloud Silver, Candy Blazing Red, Palace Maroon, Black Monotone and two new colors – Shield Gold and Black Red.
Talking about styling, the updated Splendor Pro gets new square-shape headlamps and new headlight cowl. On sides, the bike gets new panels. The fuel tank has been modified slightly to give it a sleek profile, while the newly styled tail looks decent. Features like grab rails and silencer cover have been directly lifted from other Hero bikes. The new Hero Splendor Pro misses out on steel luggage mounting point, which is now common in new breed of Hero motorcycles. There is a differently styled fuel knob with plastic cladding surround. The boxy turn indicators, alloy wheels and suspension covers remain unchanged.
