MG Marvel X Pure Electric SUV Might Come To India
The SUV can do 0-100kmph in 4.8 seconds while offering a top speed of 70kmph.
MG Motor, owned by China-based SAIC Motor Corp, recently revealed its plan for the Indian market. The carmaker has confirmed that it will commence its Indian operations with a Jeep Compass rival in the second half of 2019. The second launch from MG Motor will be an electric SUV that will hit roads by 2020. While the name of the new MG electric SUV is yet to be revealed, it is likely to the MG Roewe Marvel X.
The MG Roewe Marvel X pure electric SUV has been manufactured by SAIC Group under the Roewe brand. For power, the vehicle uses two electric motors fitted over the front and the rear axles respectively. While the AWD (all-wheel-drive) version delivers a top power of 297bhp and 665Nm of torque, the 2WD (two-wheel-drive) model produces 183bhp with 410Nm of torque. The electric SUV offers a range of 500km and gets charged up to 80% in 40 minutes. It can do 0-100kmph in 4.8 seconds while attaining a top speed of 70kmph. The company claims that the MG Roewe Marvel X comes with super 5-star safety standard design, six high-voltage circuit safety management strategies and IP67 battery with anti-intrusion protection level. Advanced safety features such as Al Cruise full-speed intelligent cruise, intelligent parking assistance, FCW forward collision alarm AEB automatic emergency brake and AR-driving real-life driving assistance system are also on offer. The MG Roewe Marvel X comes with an exclusive luxury key with ‘Welcome Mode’ and remote control that open streamer wings all LED lights and simultaneously pop up the hidden door handles and ORVMs. For luxurious experience and comfort, the SUV offers German Bader punched Nappa leather seat upholstery.
