Mercedes-Benz C200 Petrol Variant Launched At Rs 43.46 Lakh
Mercedes-Benz C 200 Progressive petrol model sits between the C200d Prime and C200d Progressive diesel variants.
Mercedes-Benz India has silently added a new petrol variant to its updated C-Class sedan model lineup. Called the 2019 Mercedes-Benz C 200 Progressive, the new petrol model sits between the C200d Prime and C200d Progressive diesel variants and is made available at Rs 43.46 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
In India, the C-Class range is now consists of five variants – C200d Prime, C200d Progressive, C200d Progressive petrol, C300d and C300 Cabriolet – priced at Rs 40.00 lakh, Rs 43.46 lakh, Rs 44.25 lakh, Rs 48.50 lakh and Rs 65.25 lakh respectively.

At the engine front, the new Mercedes-Benz C200 petrol model features a 1.5L, four-cylinder engine coupled to a 48V mild-hybrid system. While the gasoline unit makes 180bhp at 5,800-6,100rpm with 280Nm of torque at 3,000-4,000rpm, the mild-hybrid powertrain develops 10bhp and 160Nm of torque. Transmitting power to the rear wheels is a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The C-Class’ new petrol variant can do 0 to 100kmph in 7.7 seconds and attain a top speed of 239kmph. Feature-wise, the new Mercedes-Benz C200 petrol variant is as loaded as its diesel counterpart. Some of its key features include LED headlamps, a 10.25-inch screen for the COMAND infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, leather upholstery, park assist and ambient lighting in 64 colours.
