BS6 Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT

Suzuki Motorcycle India has showcased its entire BS6-compliant model lineup at the Auto Expo 2020. The bikemaker also revealed the new BS6 Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT with an upgraded engine and body graphics. Price of the updated model is yet to be announced. At present, the bike comes with a price tag of Rs 7.46 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The middleweight adventure-tourer takes on the Kawasaki Versys 650 and the SWM Superdual T that cost Rs 6.69 lakh and Rs 6.50 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. Available only in XT trim, the V-Strom 650 XT is assembled locally alongside the Suzuki GSX-S750 and Hayabusa.

The BS6 Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT looks exactly similar the old model. Though, it gets new decals on the fuel tank and the front beak fairing. The bike continues to come with the side reflectors, hazard lights, Bridgestone Battlax Adventure A40 tubeless tyres, premium anodised wire-spoke rims, Suzuki’s useful Easy Start System, a three-way, height-adjustable windscreen, ABS and three-level switchable traction control.

Sitting on the twin-spar alloy frame, the bike features the conventional telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock with rebound adjustment and remote preload adjuster at the rear. As mentioned above, the new Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT come with the BS6-compliant 645cc, V-twin engine that’s good enough for 71bhp and 62Nm.
