Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest carmaker has launched new special edition variant of the new Swift hatchback. Christened as Maruti Swift Windsong edition, the hatchback gets additional features. The exteriors and interiors of the car have been customized.

Swift Windsong VXi petrol- Rs. 5.14 lakh
Swift Windsong VDi diesel- Rs. 6.1 lakh
The new Swift Windsong edition is offered with the VXi and VDi variants of the hatch. Talking about exterior upgrades, the special edition features ‘Windsong’ badging and graphics, mud flaps on both front and rear and an Arctic White rear upper spoiler. Inside the cabin, the special edition variants get new upholstery for seats and steering wheel. The other additions include illuminated sill guards, Ambient Lighting and PVC floor mats.
The biggest upgrade is given to its infotainment system. The special edition model features a Sony touchscreen music system that comprises of CD, DVD, Bluetooth, USB and an integrated reversing camera with parking sensors.
Mechanically, the new special edition model remains the same. While the petrol version gets the 1.2-litre K Series engine, the oil burner is the tried & trusted 1.3-litre Multi-Jet unit. Both engines are coupled to a five-speed manual gearbox which sends the power to front wheels of the car.
