Maruti Suzuki To Launch 3 SUV Models By Mid 2023

Maruti Suzuki had revealed its plan to bring in a range of new SUVs in the next couple of years. Additionally, the Indo-Japanese automaker will also foray into the electric vehicle (EV) space in 2025. Meanwhile, the company is gearing up to launch three new SUV models including the CNG version of the Brezza, Fronx compact crossover and Jimny 5-door off-road SUV. Maruti Brezza CNG recently made its public debut at the 2023 Delhi Auto Expo. The model uses the 1.5L K15C petrol engine with a factory-fitted CNG kit. The setup returns a claimed power of 88PS and 121.5Nm of torque. Compared to the regular petrol version, the Brezza CNG is sightly less powerful and torquier. The model offers a mileage of 27km/kg. The CNG kit could be offered with both manual and automatic gearbox. It might be made available across 7 variants. No changes have been made to its design and interior. More details here…

Maruti Fronx, the upcoming compact crossover from the Indo-Japanese automaker, has started arriving at dealerships. Its market launch is likely to happen in coming weeks. The Fronx will come in Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta and Alpha trims, and two engine options – a 1.2L, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.0L, 3-cylinder turbo Boosterjet petrol. Both manual and automatic gearboxes are on offer. Maruti Jimny Prices

Maruti Jimny 5-door SUV is expected to go on sale in May 2023. The model lineup will be offered in 4 variants spread across two trims – Zeta and Alpha. All variants will derive power from a 1.5L, 4-cylinder, K15B petrol engine benefited with idle start/stop system. The motor pushes out a peak power of 103bhp and 134.2Nm of torque. It can be had with either a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. The new Maruti Suzuki SUV comes with Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro 4WD system with a manual transfer case and a low-range gearbox with 2WD high, 4WD-high and 4WD-low modes. More details here…
