New Maruti Ignis Unravelled In 9 Quick Points – Pros & Cons

5. Sporty exterior and interior styling

The first impression of the Ignis is that of a hatchback, but what works well for it is the sporty styling that gives it a rugged look. Maruti has shied away from the garish styling giving a miss to the chrome laden exterior. The headlamp cluster and grille are integrated in a single unit and DRLs give away the sassy look. Pronounced wheel arches with black cladding, roof-rails atop and round fog lamps on lower bumper are some of the other key elements on the exterior profile. Inside, it gets a sporty dashboard and a SmartPaly infotainment system along with other in-cabin tech that add to its credibility.

6. Aggressively priced Crossover

Launched at a price point of Rs 4.59 lakh, Maruti Suzuki Ignis, is not just the most affordable model under the Nexa range, but it is also one of the most aggressively priced crossover in its space. Going up squarely against Mahindra KUV100, the crossover has other indirect rivals too that are available under the same price bracket. From the Maruti’s stable, Ignis goes up against similarly priced entry level B-segment hatchbacks, Swift and Celerio. Other than the aforementioned models, Maruti Suzuki Ignis will also face-off with Hyundai Grand i10 that is up for a facelift in a due course of time.
