Due to rising input costs, several car manufacturers have increased prices across their range or select models in the first quarter of fiscal year 2022. The price hike continues in the second quarter as well as Tata Motors, Honda Cars India and Toytoa increased prices in the month of August. Now, Maruti Suzuki is ready to join the bandwagon and increase prices of its models in September, 2021. It will be the third price hike since January 2021. However, the carmaker hasn’t yet revealed the exact amount or percent of the hike.

Talking about Maruti Suzuki’s future plan, the automaker is all set to launch the new-generation Celerio hatchback in September 2021. The model will receive significant design changes along with stretched dimensions. Its interior might also be revised with the new central console and upholstery, and a touchscreen infotainment system  with smartphone connectivity. Powering the 2021 Maruti Suzuki Celerio will be the existing 1.0L petrol and WagonR’s more refined 1.2L petrol engines. Both manual and AMT gearboxes will be on offer.

2021 Maruti Swift Facelift

Maruti Suzuki will also bring in the CNG variants of its three popular models – Swift hatchback, Dzire compact sedan and Vitara Brezza subcompact SUV. The Swift and Dzire CNG will feature a 1.2L Dualjet K12C petrol engine with a factory-fitted CNG kit. The CNG variants will deliver power around 70bhp and 95Nm of torque. The Maruti Vitara Brezza CNG will be offered with the 1.5L K15B petrol engine and a factory-fitted CNG kit. All three CNG Maruti cars are likely to arrive during this festive season.

The Indo-Japanese carmaker will introduce the new-generation Maruti Vitara Brezza in early 2022. Reports suggest that the compact SUV will come with the BS6-ready 1.5L diesel engine along with the 1.5L K15 B naturally aspirated petrol engine coupled to stronger hybrid system. It can be had with a manual or an automatic gearbox. Comprehensive changes will be made inside and out.
