A couple of days ago, we witnessed the new 2021 Maruti Celerio in flash light revealing significant design updates. Now, a latest spy video gives a glimpse of its interior. The hatchback receives a newly-designed dashboard with an integrated 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The info unit, which seems to be borrowed from the WagonR, supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The new Celerio also gets a new central console, a multi-function steering wheel and upholstery.
With the generation change, the hatchback will get better on the safety front and offer features such as reverse parking sensors, keyless entry, ABS and EBD and multiple airbags. There might also be new exterior colour options along with the existing 6 shades, namely, Glistening Grey, Blazing Red, Tango Orange, Silky Silver, Torque Blue and Arctic White. The new Maruti Celerio 2021 will underpin the brand’s new Heartect platform and have larger dimensions than the current generation.

Upfront, the hatchback will feature a newly-designed honeycomb grille with chrome accents, black elements on the apron and fog lamp surrounds, tweaked headlamps connected via a chrome strip and a sloping bonnet. Other design highlights will include blacked out 14-inch alloy wheels, power folding ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, new rear bumper and warparound taillamps. The new 2021 Maruti Celerio will be made available the existing 1.0L, 3-cylinder K10 petrol engine that’s good enough for 67bhp and 91Nm. The hatchback will also come with the WagonR’s 1.2L, 4-cylinder petrol motor delivering a maximum power of 83bhp. Both 5-speed manual and AMT gearboxes will be carried forward from the existing model.
In terms of pricing, the new Maruti Celerio 2021 will cost slightly premium over the current model that’s available in the price range of Rs 4.66 lakh – Rs 6.0 lakh (ex-showroom). More details on the new-generation Celerio are likely to be revealed in coming weeks, Stay tuned to IndiaCarNews.
