Korean automaker, Kia has unveiled a range of new cars at the 14th edition of Asia’s biggest automotive event in Delhi. The company has also unveiled the new Kia Soul compact SUV, indicating that the vehicle could go on sale in the Indian market. Moreover, the Korean brand has showcased an exciting Kia SP SUV concept at the motor show. The production version of the SP concept will sit above 4 meter in length and will rival the Hyundai Creta and Renault Duster.
The Kia Soul is one the best-selling model from the Korean automaker across the world. This model is likely to be produced at the company’s Anantpur production plant in Andhra Pradesh. Sits on 2,570mm wheelbase, this compact SUV measures above 4 meter in length. The long wheelbase ensures decent space inside the cabin. This model is available with an electric powertrain.

Kia Soul India Launch
This model has been unveiled at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo alongside other Kia cars. The company will launch its first product – SP concept based compact SUV in the country in early 2019. The company has already started testing the new generation Soul, which will make its global debut in late 2019. In India, this model could be launched in 2020. Kia Soul Price In India
This model is expected to be produced at the company’s manufacturing unit in Anantpur, Andhra Pradesh. We believe that this model could be priced around Rs 20 lakh.

This SUV is also available in electric version as well. It is equipped with a 360V electric motor that is capable of producing 109bhp of power and 285Nm of torque. This model is claimed to have a range of 150km. Stopping power comes from disc brakes alog with ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System). The suspension mechanism of the car comprises of MacPherson Struts, Gas shock absorbers with stabilizer bar at the front and Couple torsion beam axle, twin tube gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear. Gasoline version of the car is powered by a 1.6-litre U2 VGT engine that is capable of producing a maximum power output of 128PS at 4,000rpm and 260Nm of torque between 1,900 and 2,750rpm. Power will be transmitted to the front wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox.
Kia Soul Dimensions
In terms of proportions, the new Soul crossover is 4,140mm in length, 1,800mm in width and 1,600mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,570mm. This compact utility vehicle has a ground clearance of around 180mm. It rides on 16-inch alloy wheels.
