We all know that Jeep is not going to develop anything hatchback or sedan like products. However, Fiat could take some cues from this rendering for its future products.

Jeep Compass is based on the Fiat’s Small-Wide platform, which also underpins the Fiat 500L hatchback. Not just Compass, this platform also underpins the Jeep’s smallest SUV – Renegade. For India, Jeep is developing a sub-4 meter SUV that will be based on the next-gen Panda’s 4×4 platform. The new small SUV will be positioned against the likes of Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon, Maruti Vitara Brezza and the upcoming small SUVs from Mahindra & Hyundai. The new SUV will come equipped with turbocharged petrol and diesel engines, and the new platform will be good enough to support hybrid and electric powertrains in future.
