India’s Top 10 Selling Cars In November, 2018
The list includes 6 Maruti Suzuki and 4 Hyundai cars.
It was a dull Diwali for the Indian automobile industry. While the four-wheelers segment witnessed a fall by 14%, the sales of two-wheelers declined by 13%. There was overall 11% fall in vehicle sales during the festive season. India’s two largest carmakers – Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai – registered de-growth of 0.3% and 1% respectively.
Despite all the odds, the Maruti Suzuki Swift managed to grab the top spot in the list of the 10 highest-selling cars of the month. In November, the hatchback registered total sales of 22,191 units as opposed to 17,215 units of October 2018. Read – Top 5 Upcoming Cars From Top 5 Car Makers Of India
With sales of 21,037 units, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire took a step upwards and become the second best- selling car in November, 2018. The third and fourth spots were reserved by Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Maruti Suzuki Alto that recorded sales of 18,649 units and 18,643 units respectively. The Alto hatchback’s sales fall by 3,537 units.
The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza continued to stand at the fifth position with sales of 14,378 units. Though, its sales declined by 1454 units. Hyundai’s i20 premium hatchback recorded sales of 10,555 units and stood at number seven. The eighth, ninth and tenth spots are grabbed by Hyundai Creta, Hyundai Grand i10 and all-new Hyundai Santro registering sales of 9,677 units, 9,252 units and 9,009 units respectively.
