Japanese car manufacturer Nissan is planning to launch the iconic GT-R supercar in the Indian car market. This 2-door sports coupe will officially come to India as a ‘halo’ car. For the past few years, Nissan has been delaying its plans for the launch of GT-R; however, the company now feels that the Indian market is ready to accept this beast.
The Nissan GT-R sport coupe is powered by the twin-turbo 3.6-litre V6 motor that is capable of developing a massive 545bhp. It accelerates to 100kmph from standstill in mere 2.9 seconds. Power is transmitted to all-four wheels via a responsive six-speed automatic transmission gearbox. The GT-R is known for its excellent driveability and its powerful presence on the road.
We already have few Godzilla’s running on the Indian roads. A very prominent personalities including F1 driver Narain Karthikeyan and Sachin Tendulkar have imported the GT-R in the country. However, the company now believes that the right time has come to introduce this iconic model in the country. The Nissan GT-R sports coupe will come as CBU (Completely Built-in Unit) route and is likely to be priced around Rs. 1.2-1.5 crore.
