Hyundai Venue to come in 13 variants and 10 colours

The Hyundai Venue will be offered in 3 engine options and in total of 13 variants

Hyundai will officially launch the new Venue compact SUV in India on May 21, 2019. The company has officially started taking pre-bookings for the SUV at a token amount of Rs 21,000. Interested buyers can book the Hyundai Venue online or via dealerships. Ahead of the launch, the variant details and colour options of the Hyundai Venue have been revealed. Likely to be priced around Rs 8 lakh – Rs 12 lakh, the Venue compact SUV will take on the likes of Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300 and the segment-leader Maruti Vitara Brezza.

The Hyundai Venue will be offered in 3 engine options and in total of 13 variants out of which, eight are petrol and five diesel versions. The entry-level E and S trim levels are equipped with 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 83bhp and 115Nm. Power will be transmitted to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox. This could be the move to achieve competitive pricing.

This sub-4 meter SUV will also mark the debut of brand’s new 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The 3-cylinder T-GDI unit will be offered in 3 trims – S, SX and SX (O). This engine is capable of producing 120bhp of power and 172Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and the segment-first 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. The oil burner is a 1.4-litre, 4-cylinder U2 CRDI unit that also powers the Hyundai Verna and Creta. This engine is capable of producing 89bhp of power and 220Nm of torque. A six-speed manual gearbox driving the power to the front wheels will come as standard. The sub-4 meter SUV will be available in all trim levels – E, S, SX and SX (O). The Hyundai Venue will be offered in 7 single-tone colours and 3 dual-tone paint schemes. The colour options include Star Dust, Polar White, Fiery Red, Deep Forest, Lava Orange, Typhoon Silver and Denim Blue. The dual-tone paint schemes comprises of Denim Blue/Polar White roof, Polar White/ Phantom Black roof and Lava Orange/ Phantom Black roof. The dual-paint option is only available in the 1.0L SX and 1.4 SX variants.
