Hyundai Venue Price Comparison with Vitara Brezza, EcoSport, Nexon and XUV300
The Hyundai Venue is cheaper than most of its rivals
The much-awaited Hyundai Venue compact SUV has just been launched in the Indian market. This sub-4 meter SUV directly rivals the Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300 and the segment-leader Maruti Vitara Brezza. It was speculated that Hyundai will position this new SUV as a premium model, but the prices of the new model have surprised many. In fact, it undercuts the prices of the most of its rivals.
The Hyundai Venue is priced quite aggressively, which means it will compete with all these cars. The company has smartly added the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol model to achieve aggressive pricing for the new model. This engine is only available in the lower-spec variants, which will help Hyundai to attract more buyers to its dealerships. The base variant of the Hyundai Venue is priced at Rs 6.5 lakh, which is lesser than that of the Mahindra XUV300 and Ford EcoSport and equivalent to the Tata Nexon.

The 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine is available in the S, SX and SX (O) variants. This model comes with a starting price of Rs 8.21 lakh and goes up to Rs 10.60 lakh. The automatic DCT option is offered in the S and SX+ trims, priced at Rs 9.35 lakh and Rs 11.10 lakh respectively. The diesel engine is available in all four trim levels. The Tata Nexon petrol range starts at Rs 6.53 lakh and goes up to Rs 9.96 lakh, while the diesel model is priced between Rs 7.53 lakh and Rs 10.91 lakh. On the other hand, the Mahindra XUV300 petrol version comes in the price bracket of Rs 7.9 lakh and Rs 11.49 lakh. The diesel XUV300 is priced at Rs 8.49 lakh and Rs 11.99 lakh. While the petrol EcoSport is priced between Rs 7.83 lakh and Rs 11.38 lakh, the diesel model comes in the price range of Rs 8.42 lakh – Rs 11.9 lakh. The Maruti Vitara Brezza is only available in diesel version, priced between Rs 7.78 lakh and Rs 10.5 lakh.
