Hyundai India has previewed the performance-oriented i30 N Fastback at the ongoing Auto Expo 2020. After the i30 N, the fastback is the second performance car from the brand for the European market. Both models are based on the regular i30 hatchback. As of now, the company has no plan to launch the Hyundai i30 N Fastback in India. It’s there just for previewing capabilities of the brand.

The Hyundai i30 N Fastback derives its power from a 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine sourced from the hot-hatch i30. The power and torque output of the motor stand at 275bhp and 378Nm respectively. The performance coupe can offer 353Nm of torque without the overboost function.

The performance coupe from Hyundai can do 0-100kmph sprint in 6.1 seconds and is capable to attain a top speed of 250kmph. In order to ensure great traction, the carmaker has equipped the Hyundai i30 N Fastback with an electronically limited slip differential. It reduces understeering and wheel slip in certain conditions.

There is a variable exhaust valve system enabling driver to select different exhaust sounds that vary with drive mode. The Hyundai i30 N Fastback comes with five driving modes – Normal, Exo, Sport, Sport N and N Custom.

The performance coupe has been assembled with 19-inch Pirelli P-Zero high-performance Hyundai N tyres. Aiming to boost its performance, the carmaker equips the i30 N Fastback with electronic controlled suspension, four variable dampers mounted on the independent four wheels and floating brake calipers.

In terms of features, the i30 N Fastback offers an 8-inch capacitive LCD touchscreen with latest smartphone connectivity, integrated rear view camera, Bluetooth and navigation system. It also gets Hyundai SmartSense active safety and driving assistance technologies such as Intelligent Speed Limit Warning, Driver Attention Warning (standard), Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (standard), High Beam Assist (standard) and Lane Keeping Assist (standard).
