Hyundai Elite i20 BS6 Launched – Price, Variant-Wise Features
Korean automaker has launched the new Hyundai Elite i20 BS6 model in the Indian market. Priced between Rs 6.50 lakh and Rs 8.31 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune), the new model is available in petrol manual version only. The company has discontinued the 1.4-litre diesel engine and petrol CVT option.
According to the AutocarIndia, the new Hyundai Elite i20 BS6 is available in 4 variants – Magna+, Sportz+, Sportz+ Dual Tone and Asta (O) – priced at Rs 6.50 lakh, Rs 7.36 lakh, Rs 7.66 lakh and Rs 8.31 lakh respectively. It is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that is capable of producing 83bhp of power and 114Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox. Due to BS6-compliant engine, the new Elite i20 is now Rs 15,000 expensive over the BS4 model.

i20 Magna+ – Priced at Rs 6.50 lakh, the i20 Magna+ is equipped with all the required features. It gets dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, front fog lamps, rear parking sensors, central locking, seat-belt reminder and speed alert as standard safety features. It rides on 14-inch steel wheels with wheel covers. Feature list includes Halogen headlamps, dual-tone black and beige interior, adjustable front headrests, fixed front-centre armrest, 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, 4-speakers, Multi-functional steering wheel, power windows, rear AC vents, cooled glovebox, electrically adjustable wing mirrors and 12V power outlet. i20 Sportz+ – This mid-level variant is priced at Rs 7.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). It comes with all the features that are accessible in the entry-level variant. Adding to it, the Sportz+ gets rear parking camera, rear defogger, powered ORVMs with turn indicators, rear parcel tray, height adjustable driver’s seat, sliding front centre armrest and tilt and telescopic steering wheel. It also gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink support, Arkamys audio system and voice recognition. Instead of steel wheels, the Sportz+ variant gets 15-inch alloy wheels.
i20 Sportz+ Dual Tone – Priced at Rs 7.66 lakh, the new Sportz+ dual-tone variant gets wireless charging, 16-inch diamond cut alloys, satin red interior pack and adjustable rear headrests.
i20 Asta (O) – the top-end variant is available at a price of Rs 8.31 lakh. This variant offers six airbags, automatic projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights and cornering lights. Other features include Push-button start/stop system, keyless entry, chromed door handles, leather wrapped steering and gear lever, rear armrest, AutoLink connected-car technology, automatic climate control, and rear wiper/washer.
