At the 2014 Beijing Auto Show, Honda has introduced the Vezel compact SUV. The vehicle will go on sale in the Chinese market by the end of this year. Few days back, the Vezel Urban SUV made its debut in the US market at the 2014 New York Motor Show, as Honda HR-V. It is based on the 2014 Jazz platform, which has already been launched in Japanese market.
Built on the “Dynamic Cross Solid” concept, the Vezel SUV gets unique and sharp creases that provide SUV-like wide lower body and coupe like upper body. The rear outer door handles are integrated into the window graphics, which looks like a 2-door coupe.
The Honda Vezel will be manufactured in China by the Guangzhou-Honda joint venture. It will be powered by the 1.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 131bhp and 155Nm of top torque. Power is transmitted to front wheels of the SUV via a five-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.
