Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has rolled out its first BS6-compliant motorcycle – the new Honda SP 125 BS6. The bike has been made available in two variants – Drum Brake and Disc Brake – and their prices start at Rs 72,900 (ex-showroom).

Just so you know, the auto industry will shift to BS6 emission regulations from April 1, 2020. The Japanese two-wheeler maker has already introduced its first BS6-ready model – the new Honda Activa 125 BS6.

Honda SP 125 BS6 Price

The all-new Honda SP 125 BS6 receives an updated 125cc engine boosted with the Honda Eco Technology (HET) and PGM-fuel injection system. It also gets features such as eSP (Enhanced Smart Power), engine inhibitor and idle start-stop system enhancing its fuel economy and performance.

The commuter’s new patented ACG starter motor (which is segment first) is claimed to offer quick, silent and jolt-free start every time. Honda claims that the new Honda SP 125 BS6 will deliver 16% more mileage along with the eco-friendly ride. The company is also offering special 6-year warranty package with the bike. Honda SP 125 BS6 Specs

The new Honda SP 125 BS6 comes with several segment-first features such as LED DC headlamp, engine start/stop switch and an integrated headlamp beam and passing switch. The new headlamp design, edgy graphics on fuel tank, split alloy wheels, chrome muffler cover and bold rear section add more to its sporty looks. It comes in 4 colour schemes – Stricking Green, Mat Axis Grey Metallic, Pearl Siren Blue and Imperial Red Metallic.

The new 125cc commuter from Honda also offers the segment-first full digital meter the shows information such as real time mileage, average mileage, distance to empty, gear position indicator, eco indicator and service due indicator. For braking purpose, the new Honda SP 125 BS6 uses front disc brake and rear drum brake (top-end model) along with the combined braking system (CBS).
