Honda Activa 6G – 6 Things To Know
Honda 2Wheelers India recently rolled out its first BS6-compliant two-wheeler – Honda Activa 125 FI. Now, the Japanese two-wheeler marker is gearing up to launch the new-generation model of its top selling Activa scooter. Called the Honda Activa 6G, the vehicle will see comprehensive design changes and mechanical upgrades. Here, we have listed the 6 important things to know to about the new-generation Activa.
BS6 Engine
One of the major changes will come in the form of BS6-compliant engine. The new Honda Activa 6G will use the BS6 version of the tried and tested 109.19cc HET air-cooled engine that’s good for 7.96PS and 9Nm. Rumour has it that the scooter might get the fuel injection technology along with the new idle stop system. The latter one automatically switches off the engine during a stop and switches it on with a throttle push, enhancing the vehicle’s fuel economy.
Connectivity Features

New Instrument Console
The all-new Honda 6G will ditch the existing semi-digital instrument cluster for a new all-digital unit. The new setup will provide a trip meter reading and fuel readout.
New Lighting System
The new-generation model of the scooter will receive newly-designed LED headlamp along with the LED DRLs (daytime running lights). Design bits such as new body graphics, revised front apron, chromed side body panels and new side turn indicator will add more to its new look. Improved Suspension & Braking System
In order to enhance its braking performance, Honda will equip the new-generation Activa with front disc and rear drum brakes along with the standard CBS (Combi Braking System). Launch & Price
The all-new Honda Activa 6G might make its debut at the 2020 Auto Expo that will be held from 7th to 12th February in Greater Noida. The launch might happen at the biennial event or a few months after its official unveiling. The scooter’s new-generation model will be priced around Rs 5,000 to Rs 8,000 premium over the Activa 5G.
