The Honda Activa is currently the best-selling scooter in India. In order to maintain the pole position, Honda has started working on the next-gen Activa. Likely to be called the Honda Activa 6G, the scooter has been spotted testing a couple of times. Going by the images, it is visible that the scooter has received several changes. Here are top changes expected in the upcoming Honda Activa 6G –

– BSVI engine

The upcoming Honda Activa 6G will receive the 110cc, air-cooled engine, which will be updated to meet the BSVI emission norms. This is expected to be a fuel-injection unit. Honda could opt for the new idle stop system, which will automatically switch off the engine during a halt at a traffic light. The engine will automatically starts on a throttle push. This technology will improve the fuel efficiency of the scooter.

– New lighting system

Going by the spy images, it is visible that the Honda Activa 6G scooter retains the original styling. However, it gets new headlamp design. The vehicle could also receive the LED daytime running lights.

– New instrument console

The Honda Activa 6G will receive all-new instrument console that offers digital readout for fuel and a trip meter reading. Adding to it, the instrument console could offer Bluetooth connectivity option to access calls, messages and navigation.

– New suspension and braking system

The new Activa 6G will receive the new telescopic front suspension unit and monoshock unit at the rear. The updated suspension unit will help improving the ride quality, especially on bad roads. For braking, the scooter will get disc brake at the front and drum unit at the rear. Combi-Braking System (CBS) will come as standard to meet the new safety norms.
