The new Honda Activa 6G will receive the BSVI compliant engine.

India’s most popular and top-selling scooter – Honda Activa is all set to receive a major makeover. The company is working the new generation Activa, which has been spotted undergoing testing at ARAI facility. Dubbed as Honda Activa 6G, the new scooter has received several changes in terms of styling, features upgrade and mechanics.

The overall profile of the new Activa 6G will remain identical to the existing model, though it will receive modern day features along with subtle design upgrades. Going by the spy images available on the internet, it is visible that the new Honda Activa 6G gets new headlamp design. The headlamp could receive the LED daytime running lights.

The scooter comes fitted to telescopic front forks and disc brake setup. The rear will continue to offer drum brake unit. Combi-Braking System (CBS) will come as standard to meet the new safety norms. The instrument console is also new and offers digital readout for fuel and a trip meter reading. The grab-rails and the tail-section design is identical to the existing model. The spotted model was fitted to 10-inch wheels. It is expected that the new model will receive the alloy wheels. Powering the Honda Activa is a 109.9cc, air-cooled engine that is paired to an automatic gearbox. This engine is capable of producing 7.96PS of power at 7,500rpm and 9Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. It is expected that the Activa 6G will receive the same engine. However, this BS4 compliant unit will be tuned or upgraded to meet the upcoming BS6 emission norms.
