The first spy pictures of the KTM 250 Adventure motorcycle have emerged on the web. The bike’s heavily camouflaged prototype looks similar to the upcoming KTM 390 Adventure that will debut at the EICMA Motorcycle Show in November. Both models are likely to share a few design bits and features.
Unlike the KTM 390 Adventure that was spotted with full LED headlamp, the KTM 290 Adventure will get halogen unit. The spotted test mule of the 250 Adventure carries a more upright riding position than the KTM 250 Duke. The bike runs on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel. At the rear, it has a luggage rack.
For suspension duties, the KTM 250 Adventure gets a non-adjustable USD fork. The bike also features a revised exhaust system hinting towards the BS6-compliant engine. There will also be a TFT display that’s misses out on the 250 Duke. The production-ready version of the bike might come with Bluetooth connectivity. Read – KTM To Launch 4-5 New Bikes In India
Engine details of the KTM 250 Adventure are still under the wraps. Though, it likely to get the BS6-ready version of the 250 Duke’s 248.8cc, single-cylinder engine. In its BS4 avatar, it delivers a peak power of 30bhp and 24Nm of torque. With the emission upgrade, its power figures are likely to go down by a few bhp.
There is no official word about KTM 250 Adventure launch timeline. It’s likely to have world premiere at the 2020 EICMA Motor Show.
In terms of pricing, the 250 Adventure will be around Rs 50,000 more affordable than the KTM 390 Adventure that’s expected to cost between Rs 3 lakh – Rs 3.2 lakh (ex-showroom).
