While Chevrolet will soon bid adieu to the Indian market, its stellar model Cruze is quite popular among the enthusiasts not only here but also in overseas markets. This custom Cruze inspired by Chevrolet Camaro is a treat for those planning to revamp their Cruze. Modified by the Bangalore based Motormind Automotive Designs, it features a string of new elements. To start with, it gets a custom front bumper and hood that seem reminiscent of Camaro. No changes have been made to the proportions and it retains the dimensions. Additional kit on the Camaro inspired Chevrolet Cruze comprises 19-inch wheels tucked under the pronounced wheel arches and there is an air-vent that compliments the larger air-dam in front. One of the major additions to this mod Cruze is the Scissor doors. Other bits such as the layered side skirt with black encasing, an aftermarket diffuser, all LED taillamps and dual exhausts at rear further add aggression to the model. Changes to the interior are subtle as it features red and black contrast stitching on the upholstery. Other elements inside also follows the red and black tinge for sportier look such as the dashboard, gear knob, centre console, speaker housing bezel, steering wheel etc.
Interestingly, most of the aftermarket parts used in the Camaro inspired Cruze are in-house. While the customizer has made plethora of changes to the sedan, the 2.0-litre diesel engine has been retained from the stock Cruze, though there is no clarity if the engine has been calibrated for higher output. For power transmission, it uses a six-speed automatic gearbox.
