BS6 Honda Activa 6G Vs TVS Jupiter Classic – Spec Comparison
Japanese two-wheeler maker, Honda has finally launched the long-awaited Activa 6G with BSVI compliant engine. The new scooter comes with significant design elements, though the overall profile remains intact. The new Honda Activa 6G directly rivals the TVS Jupiter, which is also one of the best-selling scooters in its category. Here is a specifications based comparison between the Activa 6G and the Jupiter.
Honda Activa 6G Vs TVS Jupiter Classic Price
The new Honda Activa 6G is available at a starting price of Rs 63,912 (ex-showroom). TVS Motor Company has only introduced the Jupiter Classic to meet the upcoming BSVI emission norms. It is priced at Rs 67,911 (ex-showroom).
Honda Activa 6G Vs TVS Jupiter Classic Specifications
The new Activa 6G comes with a fuel-injected engine, which is claimed to be 10% more frugal than the old model. It derives power from the BS6-ready 109.22cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that is capable of producing 7.68bhp of power at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 9Nm at 5,500rpm. Similar to the Activa 5G, the new scooter gets Honda Eco Technology (HET) that reduces engine’s friction and improves its fuel efficiency. Adding to it, the scooter features an ACG starter.
The TVS Jupiter Classic 110 ET-Fi gets a 109.7cc BSVI compliant engine, which is coupled with a CVT. This engine churns out a maximum power output of 7.9bhp at 7,500rpm and a peak torque of 8.4Nm at 5,500rpm. It comes fitted with TVS patented Econometer that offers two modes – Power and Eco.

The new Honda Activa 6G shares most of its features from the bigger Activa 125. It comes equipped with new LED headlamp with LED daytime running lights, chrome side body panels, a digital instrument console with multi-information display and new side turn indicators. It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels.
The BS6 TVS Jupiter Classic comes equipped with all the standard features available in the BS4 model. Adding to it, the scooter gets a tinted visor, a USB charger and storage space in the front. Adding to it, the scooter has mobile cubby space, dual-tone seat with stitching, full chrome mirrors and a chrome pillow handle with cushioned backrest.
Both scooters come equipped with front disc and rear drum brakes along with the standard CBS (Combi Braking System). The Activa 6G now gets new telescopic front and monoshock rear suspension set-up. On the other hand, the Jupiter Classic gets telescopic front forks and an independently adjustable shocks suspension unit at the rear.
