The first spy pictures of the new-generation Mitsubishi Outlander SUV have surfaced online. A heavily camouflaged prototype managed to cover all design details of the vehicle. Though, the split headlamps, upright nose, blacked alloy wheels and taillamps are clearly visible.

The 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander might share its platform with the (global-spec) Nissan Rogue and witness minor dimensional changes. Design and styling of the 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander will be inspired by the Mitsubishi Engelberg Tourer concept that broke cover at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.

For power, the 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander might use a 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine developing power worth 153bhp. It’s the same powertrain that does duty in the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross.

Globally, the new-generation Mitsubishi Outlander will see a release in the second half of next year. There is no information about its India launch. Though, it might hit our shores a year after its global launch.

Currently, the Mitsubishi Outlander comes with a 164bhp, 2.4L, 4-cylinder petrol engine paired to a 6-speed CVT gearbox and 4WD drivetrain system. It’s available in a single variant priced at Rs 31.95 lakh (ex-showroom).
