Skoda Kodiaq Scout, the rugged and off-road centric version of the Kodiaq SUV, has finally gone on sale in India. Priced at Rs 33.99 lakh, the Kodiaq Scout features some sporty design bits along with a pack of off-road features. Visually, the SUV’s new model looks exactly similar to the Europe-spec version. The radiator grille with silver colour trim frames, sliver underbody protection at the front and rear and silver treatment on the ORVM housing, roof rails and side window trims distinguish it from the standard model. The off-road capable version of the Skoda Kodiaq has ‘Scout’ badging on the front wing. The dual-tone 18-inch alloys with Trinity design and black roof rails further enhance its rugged looks.

The Skoda Kodiaq Scout has been made available in four colour schemes – Moon White, Moon Black, Lava Blue and Quartz Grey. The overall length, width and height of the SUV stand at 4705mm, 1882mm and 1665mm respectively. Compared to the regular model, the Skoda Kodiaq Scout is 8mm longer. It has a wheelbase of 2791mm. The black interior theme with black Alcantara leather upholstery with stitched Scout logo gives it a sporty appearance. Features such as Amundsen infotainment system, dashboard and doors with special strips, chrome doors handles and brushed wood decor with ‘Scout’ inscription further differentiate it from the regular model. Skoda Kodiaq Scout India

Power source for the Skoda Kodiaq Scout is the same BS-IV 2.0L TDI diesel engine, paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It pushes out a maximum power of 150PS against a peak torque of 340Nm.

The SUV comes with the standard AWD (all-wheel drive system). It offers an Off-Road mode that enables to adjust engine settings, stability control systems and electronic assistants. The Kodiaq rugged variant also gets Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.
