With its Mahindra & Mahindra has been registering positive sales growth across SUV segment. Last month (i.e. November 2022), the carmaker retailed 30,238 units as against 19,384 units during the same month last year. It accounted a YoY growth of 56%, thanks to the XUV700, Scorpio and Thar. The Mahindra Bolero retained the top spot with total sales of 7,984 units as opposed to 5,442 units in November 2021. The company managed to sell 5,701 units of the Mahindra XUV700, 5,903 units of the Mahindra XUV300, 6,455 units of the Mahindra Scorpio and 3,987 units of the Mahindra Thar. Mahindra Bolero
Currently, the Mahindra Bolero is available in three variants – B4, B6 and B6 (O) – priced at Rs 9.53 lakh, Rs 10 lakh and Rs 10.48 lakh respectively. All variants are powered by a 1.5L, 3-cylinder mHawk75 diesel engine paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The motor delivers a peak power of 75bhp. The SUV’s range-topping B6 (O) offers some exclusive features such as fog lamps, rear washer and wiper, door ajar indicator, static bending headlamps and multi-information display. Mahindra XUV300, the subcompact SUV from the home-grown automaker, is currently available in 21 variants. Its prices start from Rs 8.42 lakh and go up to Rs 14.07 lakh. The SUV model lineup comes in three engine options – 130bhp/230Nm, 1.2L turbo petrol, 110bhp, 1.2L turbo petrol MPFI and 115bhp, 1.5L diesel. The new-generation Mahindra Thar was launched with comprehensive design changes, feature upgrades and more efficient engines in October 2020.
