Maruti Suzuki is ready to update its product lineup in India in coming months. The Indo-Japanese carmaker will give an update to its 4 popular models, namely, Baleno, Ertiga, XL6 and Vitara Brezza. The Maruti Celerio hatchback will also enter into its next generation by October 2021. It will be followed by the new Vitara Brezza that’s reported to hit roads in early 2022 (possibly near around the Auto Expo in February). The updated Baleno hatchback and Ertiga and XL6 MPVs will also arrive in fiscal year 2021-22 (i.e. April 2022).

2021 Maruti Celerio
The new-generation Celerio will be the first model to roll out in the market. Reports suggest that select dealers have already begun taking bookings for the new Celerio. The hatchback will come with improved styling, better equipped interior and a more refined 1.2L petrol engine (borrowed from the WagonR). The existing 66bhp, 1.0L K10B petrol engine will also be on offer. Compared to the current generation, the new one will be lighter, bigger and safer.
2022 Maruti XL6
The 2022 Maruti XL6 will be the first model to receive the 1.5L diesel engine. The crossover-MPV’s updated version is reported to hit showrooms near around January 2022. Minimal changes are likely to be made to its exterior and interior. While the existing model comes with the 6-seats layout, the updated one is reported to get the 7-seater variant. The latter will offer a bench seat for the middle row passengers. The 7-seater XL6 will also receive newly-designed alloy wheels. Currently, the MPV model lineup is available ith the 1.5L petrol motor boosted with SHVS smart hybrid system.
2022 Maruti Vitara Brezza
The second-generation Maruti Vitara Brezza will witness some comprehensive changes inside and out along with a diesel powertrain. The subcompact SUV is reported to receive the BS6-compliant version of the 1.5L diesel motor and a 6-speed automatic gearbox instead of the existing 4-speed unit. The 1.5L, 4-cylinder K15B naturally aspirated petrol will also be on offer. This time around, however, it will get stronger hybrid technology. If it happens, the 2021 Maruti Vitara Brezza will be more fuel efficient than the existing model.
2022 Maruti Ertiga
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has always been favoured for its spacious interior, comfort and practicality. The MPV received a generation change in 2018, which will be followed by the mid-life update early next year. The automaker will make minor changes to its styling and upgrade its interior with new features. The MPV will continue to feature the 1.5L petrol engine with the mild hybrid SHVS technology. The motor is good enough for 105bhp and 138Nm of torque. The 2022 Maruti Ertiga will also get the BS6-compliant 1.5L diesel engine along with the 5-speed manual and 4-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox options.
2022 Maruti Baleno
Maruti Suzuki’s highly-popular Baleno premium hatchback will enter into its new generation in FY22. The model is likely to come with the entirely revised front fascia along with the significant cosmetic updates. The carmaker might also equip the 2022 Maruti Baleno with a bunch of new comfort and safety features. No changes are likely to be made under the hood. Similar to the current model, the new one will be offered with the 1.2L K12 and 1.2L Dualjet SHVS engines and 5-speed manual and CVT automatic gearbox options.
