Mahindra & Mahindra has revealed yet another key feature of its upcoming XUV700 premium 7-seater SUV. The three-row SUV will be the first car in its segment to offer smart air filter technology that’s claimed to filter 99% bacteria and 95% viruses. Besides this, the upcoming Mahindra XUV700 will feature the auto booster headlamps, driver drowsiness detection system, personalized safety alerts, smart door handles and segment’s largest panoramic sunroof.
While more details of the XUV700 will be revealed in coming days, it’s likely to be equipped with ADAS (advanced driver assistance system). The ADAS includes blind spot detection, lane keep assist, emergency braking, cross traffic alert and adaptive cruise control. The spy images confirm that the new Mahindra 7-seater SUV will have a twin-display setup for the instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system. The latter one will come with the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

For entertainment purpose, there will be a 12 speaker Sony audio system with subwoofer. Being a premium product, the XUV700 will be packed with features such as a 360 degree camera, multi zone climate control system, Alexa-based connected car features, electrically adjustable driver’s seat and cruise control. For safety provision, the new Mahindra SUV will offer 6 airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, ABS (anti-lock braking system) with EBD (electronic brake-force distribution), front and rear parking sensors, electronic stability control and hill hold assist. Under the hood, the new Mahindra XUV700 will house a new 2.0L mStallion turbo petrol and a 2.2L mHawk turbo diesel motor. While the former will be good enough for 200bhp, the latter will deliver power around 185bhp. This will make it the most powerful SUV in its segment that includes Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus and Tata Safari. There will be two gearboxes on offer – 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic. The AWD system will be reserved for higher trims.
