4 New Tata SUVs Unveiled – Creta & Scorpio-N Rivals

Tata Motors’ stall at the Auto Expo 2023 is surely the most exciting one. The home-grown automaker has revealed its future EV products (most of them in concept avatar) along with CNG models and special editions. At the mega automotive event, the company unveiled its four upcoming new SUVs including the Curvv, Harrier EV, Sierra EV and Avinya EV concept. Here’re some key details of the upcoming new Tata SUVs.

Tata Curvv SUV

The Curvv SUV coupe is one of the major attractions at Tata’s pavilion. The company has confirmed that the showcased model is close-to-production and will hit showrooms sometime next year. Its final version will be put up against the cars like Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder and Kia Seltos. The SUV will be offered with petrol and electric powertrain options. The model carries the brand’s “New Digital” design language and features a sloping roofline and notchback-like boot. The electric iteration of the Curvv will underpin Tata’s new Gen 2 (Sigma) architecture that supports multiple bodystyles and powertrains. More details here…

Tata Harrier EV

Tata Harrier EV

The Tata Harrier electric SUV made its debut in its concept avatar at the 16th edition of the Delhi Auto Expo. It’s also said to be close-to-production version that will see a release in 2024. The model has been designed on the heavily modified version of the Omega platform, which is essentially the Gen 2 EV architecture). Tata hasn’t yet revealed its powertrain details, but confirmed that the Harrier EV will have a dual-motor AWD (all-wheel drive) system. It will also support V2L (vehicle-to-load) and V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle) charging capabilities. More details here…

Tata Sierra EV

Tata Sierra SUV Price

The near-production version of the Tata Sierra EV made its debut at the Auto Expo 2023. The SUV’s launch has been confirmed for 2025. In the company’s product portfolio, it will be positioned above the Safari and take on the Mahindra Scorpio-N. The shown model has a proper five-door setup along with a more upright hood, sporty front bumper, new faux grille, blacked-out C and D pillar and a large glasshouse. Similar to the Curvv SUV, the Sierra will be made available with both petrol and electric powertrain options. It’s one of the most anticipated upcoming new Mahindra SUVs in India. More details here…

Tata Avinya SUV

Tata Motors’ Avinya EV concept previews the brand’s first born electric platform – Gen 3. The architecture will be used for Tata’s larger electric vehicles. The Avinya’s production-ready version is slated to hit our shores by 2025. The Gen 3 architecture based EVs will be packed with the next-generation connectivity and advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). The concept has very futuristic design with full width LED light bar at the front end, the new ‘T’ logo, slim headlamps and sharply designed front splitter. More details here…
