Tata Harrier EV Unveiled – Images, Specs, Key Details

Tata Motors is gearing up to take its biggest setup in the EV segment with the reveal of the Harrier EV concept. The model has been put up on display at the ongoing 2023 Auto Expo in Greater Noida. The new Tata Harrier EV has been designed on the company’s Gen 2 (Sigma) platform, which is essentially heavily modified version of the Land Rover-derived Omega architecture.

Visually, the new Tata Harrier EV concept looks different from its ICE counterpart. Its front fascia carries a new blanked-off grille, revised bumper, split headlamps with newly-designed LED light bar and blackened house and angular creases.

The EV badges are visible on the fenders, flush door handles and larger wheels. The rear profile has been adorned by new taillamps with new LED light bar running across tailgate width and more angular bumper with body cladding. Read – Tata Curvv (Hyundai Creta Rival) Showcased at 2023 Auto Expo

Interior of the electric Harrier will also feature some EV-specific design bits with modern tech, full connectivity and autonomous aids. The Tata Harrier EV will witness a market launch sometime in 2024.

In 2022, Tata Motors revealed its three-platform EV strategy that will cover the complete EV space till 2030. These platforms are – a converted ICE (internal combustion engine) platform, a bespoke EV platform (Sigma/Gen 2) and a skateboard (Born Electric/Gen 3). The Sigma platform will underpin the the upcoming Altroz EV, Punch EV and Sierra EV and Tata’s dedicated skateboard architecture will be used in the brand’s the next generation EVs.
