Maruti Suzuki is ready to launch the new-generation Celerio hatchback in September 2021. Besides this, the Indo-Japanese automaker is working on the CNG variants of the Swift hatchback, Dzire compact sedan and Vitara Brezza subcompact SUV. All three CNG models are reported to arrive near around 2021 festive season. Here’s a brief on the upcoming new Maruti Suzuki cars that will hit showrooms in a couple of months.
With the generation change, the Celerio hatchback will take a big leap in terms of design and features. It’s likely to receive a touchscreen infotainment system with latest smartphone connectivity. The new upholstery, a multi function steering and a new central console will also be on list. The hatch will come with the WagonR’s more refined 1.2L petrol engine that’s good for 83bhp. The existing 1.0L petrol motor with 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options will also be on offer.
The new Maruti Suzuki Swift and Dzire CNG variants will feature a 1.2L Dualjet K1C petrol engine along with a factory-fitted CNG kit. The powertrain will make 70bhp at 6000rpm and 95Nm at 4000rpm. In CNG mode, there will be a drop of 11bhp and 18Nm. The petrol unit delivers power worth 81bhp and 113Nm of torque. Both CNG models will be benefited with intelligent injection system and dual interdependent ECUs.
The Maruti Vitara Brezza CNG will be made available with the 1.5L K15B petrol engine and factory-fitted CNG kit. The compact SUV’s CNG variant will return a peak power of 91bhp and 122Nm of torque. It’s likely to come with the 5-speed manual gearbox. The automaker will give a generation change to the Vitara Brezza early next year. The new model is likely to come with improved styling, more features, stronger hybrid technology and a diesel engine.
