Maruti Suzuki will soon update its existing product lineup along with the introduction of new models especially in the SUV segment. Here’re key details of the three popular Maruti Suzuki cars, which are ready to enter into their new generation.
New Maruti Brezza
The second-generation Maruti Suzuki Brezza is reported to launch by April 2022. The compact SUV will witness comprehensive changes inside and out along with the new platform and updated engine mechanism. Under the hood, the 2022 Maruti Brezza will feature the same 104bhp, 1.5L K15B petrol motor with the stronger hybrid tech. The existing 4-speed automatic gearbox will be replaced with a new 6-speed torque convertor automatic transmission. In terms of features, it’s reported to come with the factory-fitted electric sunroof, wireless charging system, a 360 degree camera, paddle shifters, six airbags and electronic stability program.
New Maruti Alto
The new-generation Maruti Alto has been caught on camera during its testing rounds in the country. Its final production version is likely to see a release during 2022 Diwali season. The hatchback will underpin Suzuki’s lightweight Heartect platform and derive power from the 1.0L K10C Dualjet petrol engine boosted with idle starts/top system. It will also be available with the existing 47bhp, 796cc, 3-cylinder petrol engine. The 2022 Maruti Alto will carry more angular design elements and bigger dimensions. The hatchback will come with a touchscreen infotainment system, a semi digital instrument cluster, power steering, keyless entry and dual airbags.
New Maruti Swift
The new-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift will make world debut sometime this year. Its India launch timeline, however, is yet to be revealed. The new model will sit on a newly-designed platform, which is expected to be stronger and safer than the existing one. For power, the 2022 Maruti Swift will use the same 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol and 1.2L petrol with mild hybrid system options. Major changes will also be made to its exterior and interior. As of now, details of the new model are scanty.
