3 New Cars & 2 Bikes Coming Next Week – Key Details

The fourth week of August will witness global unveiling of three new cars and launch of two new motorcycles. The list includes the performance-oriented Hyundai i20 N Line, new-generation Hyundai Creta, Jeep Commander SUV, new-generation Royal Enfield Classic 350 and updated TVS Apache RR 310. Here’re key details of the upcoming new cars and bikes.

Hyundai i20 N Line

Hyundai i20 N Line Specs India

Hyundai i20 N Line will be the first ‘N-Line’ model from the South Korean carmaker in the country. The hot hatch is slated to launch on 24th August 2021. It will be made available in three variants – N6 iMT, N8 iMT and N8 DCT – powered by 120bhp, 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine. There will be two gearboxes on offer – iMT and DCT automatic. While its powertrain will remain unchanged from the standard model, the hot hatch will get a sportier exhaust note and updated suspension setup. The i20 N Line will carry a few sportier design elements inside and out that will distinguish it from the standard i20.

The second-generation Hyundai Creta, which is already on sale in India, will make its Brazilian debut on 25th August 2021. The Brazil-spec model will look slightly different from the India-spec version. The SUV features a newly-designed hexagonal grille, front air intakes with separate part at the bottom and revised taillamps (without a light bar). In terms of features, the new Creta will offer a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated seats, ADAS and more. The SUV will use a 120bhp, 1.0L turbo petrol engine replacing the 1.6L NA petrol motor. There might also be a 2.0L naturally aspirated petrol engine reserved for higher trims.

2022 Jeep Commander Launch Date

The new Jeep Commander 7-seater SUV is ready to make global debut on 26th August 2021 in Brazil. The model will also make its way to India, but carry a different nameplate. The carmaker recently trademarked Jeep Meridian name for its upcoming model that’s likely to be used for the three-row SUV. The automaker has already confirmed that the Commander SUV will be made available with two turbo engines – 1.3L flex and 2.0L diesel. The flex motor will deliver power worth 185bhp with 270Nm and come with FWD and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The oil burner will be good for 200bhp and get AWD and a 9-speed automatic gearbox.

New Royal Enfield Classic 350

2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 Signals Edition

Royal Enfield will give a generation change to its highly popular Classic 30 motorcycle on August 27, 2021. The new model will underpin the ‘J’ platform that’s already used in the RE Meteor 350. For power, the new Classic 350 will have a 394cc fuel injected engine linked to a 5-speed gearbox. The motor has been tuned for producing a maximum power of 20.2bhp and 27Nm of torque. While the top variants will come with front and rear disc brakes, the lower variants will get front disc and rear drum brakes. The dual-channel ABS will be standard across the model lineup. The new-generation Classic 350 will receive Tripper navigation system along with a new instrument console.

New TVS Apache RR 310

2021 TVS Apache RR 310 Launch

The updated TVS Apache RR 310 will finally make its way on August 30, 2021. Its prices and details will be revealed at Madras Motor Race Track in Chennai, followed by its media ride. The bike is likely to come with improved ride quality with a preload adjustability on front USD forks and updated lever. Its 313cc, single-cylinder, reverse-inclined DOHC engine might also be updated for generating more power output. At present, the motor pushes out 34PS and 27.3Nm of torque. The bikemaker might equip the 2021 TVS Apache RR 310 with a new set of tyres.
