2020 Mahindra TUV300 will meet the upcoming emission and safety norms.

Mahindra & Mahindra will soon give a generation change to some of its highly-popular SUVs including Scorpio, Bolero, XUV500, Thar and TUV300. In May 2019, the home-grown carmaker introduced the Mahindra TUV300 facelift with minor design and feature upgrades. Now, the new-generation model of the SUV has been spotted testing for the first time.

The heavily camouflaged prototype has managed to cover most of the design changes made to the vehicle. Though, it reveals that the 2020 Mahindra TUV300 will receive new taillamp units. The SUV might also get minor updates at the front fascia including a new honeycomb grille with six vertical slats, new headlamps and revised bumper with trapezoid shaped air dam. Styling bits such as boxy silhouette and upright windshield will be retained.

As of now, the interior details are scanty. The 2020 Mahindra TUV300 will meet the upcoming emission and safety norms. Currently, the SUV offers dual airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX mounts for child seats, seat belt reminder lamp, side intrusion beams, collapsible steering column and auto door lock as standard safety fitments.

Under the hood, the 2020 Mahindra TUV300 is likely to feature a BS6-ready 1.5L, three-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine producing a maximum power of 100bhp with 240Nm of torque. The same powertrain will debut on the Mahindra Marazzo MPV. For performing transmission duties, the SUV will continue to use a 5-speed manual gearbox.
