Kia Seltos Variant Details Revealed; Bookings To Open On 15th July
Kia Seltos will come in two different design lines – Tech Line and GT Line.
Kia Motors India is doing final launch preparations of the Seltos SUV. While the official price announcement will happen on 22nd August, the pre-bookings will be commenced from July 15, 2019. The carmaker has already confirmed that the Seltos will come in two different design lines – Tech Line and GT Line.
While the entry-level petrol trim will be named GTK, the fully-loaded variant will be called GTX+. The base and top-end diesel models will be called HTE and HTX+ respectively. The Kia Seltos could be introduced at a starting price of Rs 10 lakh that can go up to Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom). With such aggressive pricing, the new Kia SUV will go up against multiple cars right from Hyundai Creta and Renault Captur to the newly-launched MG Hector and Jeep Compass. Features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 360 degree around-view camera, a Head-Up-Display unit, multi coloured ambient lighting, a Bose sound system, a sunroof and cooled front seats will be exclusively offered on the higher trims. The Kia Seltos will come with three BS6-ready powertrains including a 1.4L turbo petrol, a 1.5L petrol and a 1.5L diesel. While the 1.4L gasoline unit will come with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox options, the 1.5L petrol motor will get a 6-speed manual and a CVT unit. The oil burner will be paired to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter transmission.
