The new-generation Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV was launched in April 2018. Built on the new HEARTECT platform, the new model is bigger and spacious than the previous model. What’s interesting is that Maruti Suzuki is also working on a sportier version of the Ertiga MPV, which is likely to be called Ertiga Cross. In fact, patent images of the crossover version of the MPV have already been leaked on the internet. The media reports claim that the sportier model will be launched in the end of 2019.
The 2019 Maruti Ertiga Cross will come with visual as well as mechanical upgrades. The new model will receive sportier body kit along with additional chrome bits on the exterior. It is expected that the new changes will be in-line with the Ertiga Sport concept, which was previewed earlier this year at the Indonesian Motor Show. The MPV will have a masculine profile and will be fitted to a newly designed alloy wheels. The cabin is also likely to get sportier bits in the form of sport seats and all-black scheme.
The biggest change will be seen inside the cabin. The Maruti Ertiga Cross model will be made available with six-seat layout. The sportier version of the MPV will be offered in 2+2+2 seating layout. The new model will be sold exclusively via NEXA premium dealerships. Also See – Sportier Maruti Ertiga Cross – What We Know So Far
