2018 Tata Tigor Facelift To Launch In Coming Weeks – Report

Major highlight of the 2018 Tata Tigor facelift will be a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

It’s been over a year, Tata Motors introduced the Tigor sub-four-metre sedan based on its first-generation IMPACT design philosophy. The compact sedan has been generating decent volume for the carmaker. Aiming to further boost its sales, the home-grown carmaker will give a mid-life update to the Tata Tigor sedan.

According to a media report, the new Tata Tigor 2018 facelift will hit showrooms in coming weeks. Though, there is no official word about its launch timeline. Talking about the changes, the new Tata Tigor 2018 facelift will get slightly revised front grille and headlamps with chrome inserts. It might also feature new front grille and a shark fin antenna. Major highlight of the Tigor’s interior will be a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that could be powered by Harman sysem as we have seen in the Nexon compact SUV. Along with the navigation, voice commands and Bluetooth connectivity, this system could also be compatible to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. No changes will be made to its powertrains. The new Tata Tigor 2018 facelift will continue to come with the same 1.2-litre Revotron and 1.05L Revotorq motors generating a peak power of 84bhp with 114Nm and 69bhp with 140Nm of torque respectively. A 5-speed manual gearbox will be standard and an AMT unit will continue to be available with petrol variants only.
