Mercedes-Benz India today launched a special edition of the C-Class luxury sedan – ‘2017 Mercedes C-Class Edition C’. For the first time, the company has introduced the new designo Hyacinth Red colour scheme on the model. Available in three variants – C 200 Avantgrade, C 220 d Avantgrade and C 250 d Avantgrade – the new C-Class Edition C has been priced between Rs 42.54 lakh – Rs 46.87 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Sporting new cosmetic updates and features, the 2017 Mercedes C-Class Edition C appears sportier than the regular model. On the exterior, the saloon gets ‘Edition C’ badges, black front apron spoiler lip, LED logo projector at the front doors and black rear spoiler. Mercedes-Benz is also offering a Night package with the new C-Class edition that includes black side skirts, beltline, mirror housing and front twin louvers. Inside, the saloon receives new Open-pore black ash wood trim finish and stainless steel sports pedal with embossed rubber studs. Powering the 2017 C 200 Avantgrade is a 2.0-litre in-line petrol engine that makes 184bhp at 5,500rpm and 300Nm between 1,200rpm – 4,000rpm. On the other hand, the C 220 d Avantgrade and C 250 d Avantgrade are powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine making 170bhp with 400Nm and 204bhp with 500Nm respectively.
