New TVS-BMW Motorcycle – What We Know So Far
In 2013, BMW Motorrad and TVS Motor Company had formed an alliance to develop a new series of sub-500cc premium motorcycles. The TVS Apache RR 310 was the first model under this partnership, followed by the BMW G310 R and BMW G310 GS. While the design and development of the BMW bikes were taken care of by BMW Motorrad, the manufacturing was done by TVS at its facility in Tamil Nadu. Now, the bikemakers are planning to bring in fourth model under the joint venture. Here’re 5 things we know about the new TVS-BMW bike so far.
Apache RR 310 Platform
The new bike will be built on the same platform that was developed by the alliance of TVS Motor Company and BMW. The architecture already underpins the TVS Apache RR 310.
All-New Design

Mid-Capacity Engine
The bikemaker hasn’t yet revealed the product details. Though, it’s reported to be a mid-capacity motorcycle featuring engine ranging between 500cc – 650cc. It’s likely to come with a twin-cylinder engine.
Launch Details
Early this year, VS President and CEO, K.N. Radhakrishnan, confirmed that the company will bring in the second TVS-BMW motorcycle in 2021. Official launch date, however, is yet to be announced. Read – TVS Apache RR 310 Gets Expensive With BS6 Update
Expected Pricing
The new TVS-BMW bike is estimated to cost around Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom).
