2021 TVS Apache RR 310 BS6

TVS and BMW Motorrad jointly introduced 3 new motorcycles – the Apache RR 310, G310 R and the G310GS in the Indian market. A new report claims that the duo has already started working on the new project. In fact, the second TVS-BMW motorcycle will be launched in the market in 2021.

Commenting on the new product, K. N. Radhakrishnan, President, CEO & Additional Whole-Time Director, TVS Motor Company Limited, said, “With respect to BMW, I think they are extremely happy. And we are — possibly next year, we will have one more variant of that from TVS Motor Company. So this is something the new product and upgrade is something we have to constantly look at opportunities and constantly delight the customer, and we will invest behind that.”

It is expected that the upcoming TVS-BMW motorcycle will receive a twin-cylinder engine. Keeping rising demand for higher capacity motorcycles, the joint venture could introduce the new twin-cylinder bike in the Indian market as well.

TVS engineers will use the technical guidance from BMW Motorrad to develop a stronger platform to accommodate mid-capacity models. The motorcycle will be developed from the ground-up as BMW Motorrad and TVS doesn’t have a frame to meet the requirements. It is expected that the upcoming twin-cylinder TVS-BMW Motorrad bike will be a mid-capacity motorcycle and could receive a 500-650cc engine. The new motorcycle is expected to be priced around Rs 5 lakh.
